Easter Fun in Birmingham

We love Easter! It’s the perfect time for a little break to enjoy quality time with the family. There are so many fun things to do with the little ones during the half-term holidays in Birmingham. If you haven’t already thought about it, here are some cracking (pun intended) activities you can get up to in Birmingham and the Jewellery quarter this Easter…

Easter Egg Hunt at Museum of the Jewellery Quarter

The Museum of the Jewellery Quarter are putting on an eggsciting Easter egg hunt from Friday 30th March – Saturday 14th April, 10:30am – 5pm. It involves finding all the letters to win a prize! It’s a great way to bond and interact with your little ones in a fun and active way. The trail takes place around the museum and is included in the affordable admission prices.

Planetarium Show at the Thinktank

Do you and your kids love all things space? Combine education with fun at Birmingham’s science museum, the Thinktank. There are a variety of planetarium shows on throughout the weekends until 29th April. Planetarium shows are £1.50 per person in addition to the Thinktank admission price. There’s also lots more to discover at the ThinkTank and even an Easter Dino Egg Hunt which is included in the admission price.

Watch a show at the Birmingham Hippodrome

From Pantomime’s to musicals, there’s a show to suit you and your family at the Birmingham Hippodrome. We think ‘Hansel and Grettel’ and ‘Wicked sound fabulous’! Check out the listings here.

Real Birmingham Walking Tour

If you and your family love Birmingham and walking, the Real Birmingham Walking Tour is your perfect match. It’s also free! Covering points of historic, cultural and humorous significance, you’ll discover more about our wonderful city on this walk. The next tour is on Saturday 7th April and starts at 10:30am. There’s no need to book, you can just turn up and pay a donation as you see fit. 50% of all donations go to St Basil’s charity.

Eating Out Together at Pasta Di Piazza

You’re sure to work up an appetite after all the Easter holiday fun in Birmingham, so come and round off your day with a hearty Italian meal at Pasta Di Piazza! Our restaurant is located just around the corner from the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, and not too far from the City Centre. We have a cosy, family-friendly atmosphere and traditional Italian food that family members of all ages can enjoy!

If you have been observing Lent and have given up things like chocolate and sugar, it’s the perfect place to reward yourself with a delicious, indulgent dessert.
