Tortellini mad about pasta!

It’ll come as no surprise to you that we are tortellini mad about pasta here at Pasta Di Piazza in Birmingham. So much so, we put it in our name! It’s a staple food in traditional Italian cuisine, with the first reference dating back to 1154 in Sicily. That’s a pretty golden age-old tradition – and one that we cherish. Our menu has a dedicated section with twenty delicious pasta dishes. Read on for an introduction to some of the best you’ll find in Birmingham.

Spaghetti Bolognese / Spaghetti Alla Bolognese

We couldn’t do a blog on pasta without giving a mention to this universal favourite! Our Spaghetti Alla Bolognese is made just the way it should be; with hearty beef and generously fused with our traditional Bolognese sauce.

Seafood Linguine / Linguine Alla Marinara

This dish combines two Italian favourites; seafood and pasta! Though the seafood is the star of the show here. Our Linguine Alla Marinara is a marinated seafood mix with rich olive oil and herbs cooked in a Neapolitan sauce, king prawns and garlic, served with linguine. It’s a match made in heaven!

Squid Ink Linguine / Linguine Al Nero Di Seppia

This characteristically black pasta gets its colour from squid ink and is traditionally a delicacy in Venice and Sicily. Our squid ink linguine is cooked with garlic, fresh parsley, white wine, fresh squid and vongole.

Blue Cheese & Spinach Gnocchi / Gnocchi Dolcelatte E Spinaci

Another delicious classic and the perfect comfort food. These hearty potato-pasta dumplings come in our creamy blue cheese and spinach sauce. It’s the perfect indulgence!

Crab Ravioli / Ravioli Di Granchio

What’s better than pasta? Pasta with a filling! Our Ravioli Di Granchio features a filling of fresh crab meat. They get a second seafood lift from being simmered in a delicious clam sauce with tomato and lobster bisque. It’s absolutely beautiful!
