WINE TASTING WITH LOKI WINE

Our Wine Tasting event is now fully booked.

We love traditional Italian food and we love great wine (hence our very own wine cellar). So, we’re excited to be teaming up with Phil Innes of Loki Wine, to bring you a unique food and wine tasting experience. Loki Wine is Birmingham’s most awarded wine merchant, as well as its leading wine bar.

Join us at Pasta Di Piazza in the Jewellery Quarter, on our charming second floor for a six-course Italian feast, with a flight of wine and prosecco on arrival. The event will be hosted by Phil Innes of Loki Wine. You will get to sample several wines from Loki Wine, and receive a tutored tasting from Phil, with notes on each wine and why they match each course. You will be tasting six different wines against six different Italian dishes from starters through to desserts, made by our talented chefs at Pasta Di Piazza.

Date: Thursday 20th September 2018, 7pm.

ANTIPASTO ITALIANO
Salami, bresaola and parma ham with sun blushed tomato, artichokes and parmesan shavings

PENNE ANNABELLA
Marinated chicken with bacon, peppers and blue cheese sauce served with penne pasta

VEAL SORRENTINO
Pan fried scallopine of veal, topped with parma ham and mozzarella cheese in a light tomato and red wine sauce

RISOTTO DI ASPARAGI V
Italian rice cooked with goats’ cheese, asparagus, peas and sundried tomatoes

ROMBO IN CROSTA ALLE ERBE
Herb crusted halibut on a bed of spinach and spicy Calabrian sausage in a Pachino tomato sauce

TARTUFO NOCCIOLA & CIOCCOLATO
Luxury Hazelnut and Chocolate gelato with a liquid centre of dark chocolate enrobed in cocoa powder
