Our Story

In 1995, long before the Jewellery Quarter became what it is today, our founders opened the doors to a small dining room with brick walls, wooden tables, and a menu built around the comfort of handmade pasta and the pleasure of good wine.

What happened next wasn’t the result of marketing or trends, it was word of mouth, passed from families to friends, from couples to colleagues. People came for birthday dinners, first dates, quiet midweek meals, and celebrations that lasted late into the night. Over the years, we watched marriages begin here, friendships deepen here, and generations return to the same tables they’ve loved for decades.

Through it all, our philosophy has never changed. We cook with simplicity because Italian food, at its best, doesn’t need theatre. It needs care. It needs time. It needs ingredients treated with respect. Every morning we choose fresh produce; every evening we serve food that feels familiar, generous, and deeply comforting. The dishes evolve with the seasons, but the heart of our menu (big bowls of pasta, rich sauces, warm bread, a good pour of wine) remains the same.

Today, over thirty years later, Pasta di Piazza is still a place for romance, for rituals, for unhurried meals shared with people you care about. A restaurant shaped by the countless stories that have unfolded within these walls.
